Grabber School of Hair Design Donates to Young Women's Breast Cancer Research

Grabber School of Hair Design is pleased to announce its sponsorship and participation in the 2012 Pink Party in St Louis, MO on October 8, 2012. Promoting the latest fashion trends in hair and makeup, the annual event is dedicated to raising funds for The Young Women's Breast Cancer Program (YWBCP).

The Young Women's Breast Cancer program was founded by staff at the Siteman Cancer Center and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Since 2001, the program has partnered with young breast cancer survivors (under the age of 44) in order to provide a community where everyone can be united under one cause. This cause seeks to provide support for young breast cancer survivors, education programs to raise awareness about the issues facing young women with the disease, and the advancement of research focused on early onset of breast cancer. The YWBCP is a proud member of the Young Adult Cancer Alliance.

As one of the most recognized beauty schools in St Louis, Grabber School of Hair Design is extremely proud of its cosmetology program students, who donated their time and expertise to style the event's models with the latest fashion, hair and make-up trends for this upscale and fashion-forward event.

"Grabber School of Hair Design is delighted by the passion that our students exemplified through their participation at the event - Dedicating their time, energy and creativity to support the ongoing research and advancement of the YWBCP. It was such a positive experience for everyone involved and we are thankful to have had the chance to take part in this event," said Steve Quick, Director of Grabber School of Hair Design.

Through its student's participation, Grabber School of Hair Design raised $1,100 for the Young Women's Breast Cancer Program through cash donations and donating a portion of its salon service sales. Grabber School of Hair Design is extremely pleased to have had the opportunity to participate in the event, as well as support the YWBCP and the advancement of breast cancer research and awareness for young women.
